The Victoria Daly Community Services Department runs Child Care, Aged Care, Libraries, Women’s Programs, School Nutrition, Broadcasting and Sports and Recreation programs throughout the Victoria Daly Shire. The Department is .

  1. Community Patrol

    There are currently nine active Night Patrols across the Shire each with their own needs and characteristics.

  3. Sports & Recreation

    Sports and Recreation programs are run in all communities in the shire. Activities include AFL, Soccer, Softball, Indoor Cricket, movie nights, ladies nights, BBQs, Heart foundation walks, Discos and lots of other activities with a focus on keeping community members both happy and healthy.

  4. Community Radio

    The Victoria Daly Shire Broadcasting Program supports Indigenous Community Radio Stations as part if the federal government’s Remote Indigenous Broadcasting Service (RIBS) program. The Shire provides training, maintenance and support for the 5 Stations currently in operation in the communities of Wadye, Palumpa, Nauiyu, Yarralin and Kalkarindji.

  5. Women’s Programs

    The Victoria Daly Shire women’s program aims to promote leadership, autonomy and empowerment of Women throughout the Shire by building and supporting women’s groups and providing training in leadership and governance.

  6. Libraries

    Libraries are run by the shire in the communities of Wadeye, Nauiyu, Peppimenarti, Timber Creek, Pine Creek and Kalkarindji.

  7. Child Care

    The Shire runs Child Care services in the Communities of Nauiyu, Yarralin and Kalkarindji. All Victoria Daly Childcare Services conform to national child care guidelines and provide quality childcare services for all community members.

  8. School Nutrition

    The Victoria Daly Shire council cooks up meals for the school children as part of the Federal Government’s School Nutrition Program in the communities of Peppimenarti, Palumpa and Yarralin.
