The next round of Victoria Daly Shire Community Grants is now open. The following grants are available:
Grants for individuals - up to $100
If you meet the following requirements you are eligible for this assistance:
- Victoria Daly Shire resident
- Representing the NT in sporting, academic, cultural and artistic endeavours
- Wanting to attend a competition in your chosen field
Group & Organisation Grants - up to $500
If you meet the following requirements you are eligible for this assistance:
- Group or organisation based within Victoria Saly Shire
- Require funding for a specific project or program
Event & Festival Grants - up to $5,000
Organisations requiring funding for events and festivals can apply for a grant of $5,000, refer to policy document for details.
Congratulations to the below recipients of funding from the previous round.
Over $30,000 was released to the Victoria Daly Shire communities for events, festivals and individual assistance in the first round this financial year:
- Pine Creek Turf Club received $5,000 towards the 2011 Pine Creek Race Day and $1,500 towards the Frank Duvall Golf Competition
- Nauiyu received $5,000 towards the 2011 Merrepen Festival
- Wadeye community received over $5,000 toeards Family Fun Days and Women's nights
- Timber Creek community received $5,000 towards the Timber Creek Family Festival and over $4,000 towards other events to be held during the year. They also received assistance for purchasing equipment and uniforms for sport and recreation
- Wadeye and Kuy communities received $500 each to purchase sporting equipment
